TEENS CHILDREN Teen Thing Thursday January 12–February 23, 3:30–4:30 p.m. at the McKinley Birthplace Home Teens ages 12–18 are invited to enjoy different activities each week. Registration is required. Please call 330-652-1704 ext. 4 to register. Anime Club January 12, February 2 Do you enjoy anime? Are you interested in learning about Japanese culture? If so, then this is the club for you! Meet up with other teens to watch anime, discuss your favorite series, and learn some basic Japanese phrases. Tabletop Gaming January 19, February 9 Join us for a monthly tabletop RPG (roleplaying game) group. This program is continuing from the group that started playing Dungeon World in Fall of 2022. We will also have a variety of games that can be freely played throughout the hour. Cozy Cocoa & Company January 26 Choose from a variety of sweet add-ins to make your own unique hot chocolate creation. Discuss what you’ve been reading while you sip your cocoa. Love “Rocks” Pizza Party February 16 Paint rocks while munching on pizza and playing various games together. Please note: rocks will be wet with paint and can be picked up at a later date to allow time for drying. Faux Stained Glass Art February 23 Make a piece of faux stained glass art using provided supplies and patterns. Please note: art will be wet with paint and can be picked up at a later date to allow time for drying. Holiday Cookie Kits All of December While Supplies Last Families are invited to stop in the library or schedule a curbside pickup to get their own cookie making kit to take home. Kits are first come first, first served while supplies last. Each kit will contain cookie mix, frosting, and a cookie cutter. Gingerbread House Workshop Saturday, December 3, 2–3 p.m. at the McKinley Birthplace Home Gingerbreadarchitectsof all skill levelsare invited tobuild a gingerbread house! Join us to share ideas and inspiration—and enjoy a little friendly competition when you enter the library’s Gingerbread House Contest. Use the supplies provided or bring your own. Flower Arranging the Montessori Way Wednesday, January 18, 6–7 p.m. at the McKinley Birthplace Home Children ages 3 and up and their caregivers are invited to make a floral arrangement to take home using fresh flowers. Celebrate Presidents’ Day: Get to Know William Saturday, February 18, 10:30–11:30 a.m. at the McKinley Birthplace Home Children ages 7 and up and their caregivers are invited to a special Presidents’ Day storytime.
